This site is dedicated to being refreshed by God's promises of grace through the waters of Baptism.
The goal is that through ongoing and repeatable baptismal affirmations for the seasons of life and stages of faith baptism is seen and practiced as a longlife resource and power of daily living.

Celebrating the Seasons of Baptismal Living
continues the conversation about confirmation ministry that began in the 1993 report of the ELCA Confirmation Ministry Task Force. Among the recommendations of the task force, two stand out prominently:
  • Confirmation ministry is firmly rooted in baptism.
  • Confirmation ministry is a call to the whole faith community to engage in lifelong learning in worship, identity, mission, discipleship, and vocation.
Drawing from the life-stage work of Erik Erickson, the faith-stage work of James Fowler, the seasonal calendar of the church, and the changes and chances of life, Thomas K. Johnson offers the faith community a vision of confirmation ministry in which faith can be deepened and publicly affirmed at multiple points throughout the life cycle.

This resource will help your congregation consider the formation of "baptismal living" groups in which persons in the various seasons of life can wrestle with common faith and life questions in the light of God's promises in baptism. This resource will also provide congregations guidance in helping families establish daily and seasonal baptismal rituals in the home.
